The Chicago Rastafarians pitchers essentially took the day off at Minute Maid
Field as the Columbus Crowd offense erupted for 12 runs while Curt
Schilling(3-2), with relief help from Brendan Donnelly, held Chicago to 1
run.
Khalil Greene enjoyed a big day at the plate. He smashed a two-run homer (his
3rd of the season) in the 2nd inning, slapped a one-base hit which plated a
run in the 3rd inning and doubled plating two runs in the 8th inning.
Overall Columbus out-hit Chicago 15 to 7.
Kazuhisa Ishii(1-3) was the losing pitcher. He was not very effective,
surrendering 5 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings. The Columbus ballclub's record now
stands at 17-18. With the loss Chicago now has a record of 21-14.
